[A sudden bright light and when it faded away Eagle found he was no longer on the route he had been traveling on. ]
What?? This is… New Barktown, isn’t it?
[His Pokemon trio wandered around near his feet as if trying to confirm this sudden change had actually happened. But a glance at the tiny City was enough to confirm the truth.]

How were we able to teleport here? Are the Abra able to do something like this…?
[But, it was even better than that! He looked down and suddenly realized that there was a diminutive rounded machine sitting on the back of his gloved hand. With a cocky smile he added triumphantly. ]
My weapon is back as well!

I had thought you might change your mind once you arrived. I have no intention of going easy of you.
[The laser sword suddenly appears as Eagle wills it to. But instead of attacking right off he waits just to make sure she is ready. This was supposed to be a friendly competition after all! ]
Are there any rules?

[Her eyes bore the traces of surprise when Eagle summoned his . light sword? Indeed there was nothing like that in her time further corroborating his earlier story of being from a different world.]
That-- is quite the weapon you have in your possession. [Which did not mean Eagle had the skills to match the implement.]
I'll keep it simple. Just our blades will be used. The match does not end until a contender has either been disarmed completely, tagged three times, or has become too injured to continue. The point of this match, naturally, is not to slay the other. Do you agree to these terms?

That sounds like a rougher style of combat than I was expecting from a lady.
But, I agree. I will only use the one weapon… and no tricks.
[Basically agreeing not to use any of the device’s other features beyond that of the laser sword itself. It wouldn’t really be fair anyway since the lady only had the one weapon. ]
I think we should also take a moment to ask our Pokemon not to interfere. A distraction like that in the middle of our friendly match wouldn’t be any good.
[Saying this he does indeed take a minute to instruct the little Pokemon creatures with him not to get involved. Which… who knows if they will really listen, but he did try to make sure this battle remained fair. ]

Very well then it's decided. No tricks.
[Isn't aware of the other features but still found the clarification to only use the blades had to be made just in case. Although if she did know about them-- she would have been tempted to take on the challenge]
Agreed. [She says Adeline's name before returning her to the pokeball for safekeeping. Then she gives the proper orders to the Pokeball]
I do hope your Pokemon are disciplined enough to mind their owner, if not I will be forced to summon my own.
[It may not have been outwardly apparent but she was delighted at the chance to engage what she does best]

[Disciplined enough…. That made it sound like he was a bad trainer if they didn’t listen.
*sweat drop*
Maybe, encouraging the Pokemon to run off and play some where would be a better idea. Go on, shoo, shoo, it will be fine.
Once those guys have been encouraged to scamper off he readdress the subject of this battle, falling back int a ready battle stance and waiting for the lady to do the same.]
When ever you are ready then.
[Lady’s first. ]

She finds it curious that he doesn't just put the Pokemon away in their receptacles but.. to each their own. She doesn't need much prep time having already secured her Pokemon. It's the waiting on him to shoo his creatures that takes most the time...]
Then let's begin.
[Eagle was giving her an advantage by allowing her to move first. In fencing.. it was the person who moved first that could control the tempo and pace of the encounter. Locking her eyes on her opponent she advanced flawlessly, her footwork careful and precise. When she got within a suitable range she lunged the sword at him fully expecting him to parry.
ooc: Why don't I have any fencing icons..]

In this case… having no real desire to injure the lady, she gets a smirk and a light tap on the shoulder.
Eagle: 1 Mrs. Middleford: 0
OOC: I don't either, not on this account.]

This time she approached with more caution, keeping distance between them in order to study the others maneuvers. She swung the blade in his direction, while keeping her feet planted where she was.]

Even if her feet were firmly planted on the ground, perhaps he could use a bit of strength of unsteady the lady. Eagle waited for the next swing of her blade and when he parried he tried to use his strength to force the lady backward, off balance, so he could land another hit while she was off guard. ]

Isn’t it unusual for a lady to be able to fight like this?
[A smirk. Would she fall for this, he wondered. ]
You can give up when ever you would like. I really would not like to injure a lady.
[Oh yes, he went there with all the smugness he could manage. ]
