Ecruteak Badge / Tourist Information

[Video / Ecruteak City Action ]

[ Sitting near the little lake in beautiful old Ecruteak City Eagle watched the miniature waterfall fountain for a moment before he flipped open the black case he kept his badges in and placed the shiny new Fog badge in next to his other three. The angle was a little awkward as the PokeGear doing the recording was sitting next to him on the grass. A flap from the bag pocket it was sitting in partially hid the top right corner of the screen. It had apparently turned itself on when Eagle dropped his backpack onto the ground. ]

That’s four. I believe there are only four more badges left and then we can see what happens when all of the badges are collected.

[ Carrera, Eagle’s faithful starter Pokemon whimpered a little and bullied her way into his lap to curl up for a rest there. ]

Are you saying you would miss me? It is a little soon to worry about that.

[ Still his hand moved to gently pet the Pokemon’s head and that was when he noticed the PokeGear with its red recording light blinking. ]

Did that… It looks like my PokeGear has been recording my little break?

[ ~Smile~ ]

In that case maybe some one would be good enough to tell me if there is anything in Ecruteak besides the gym that I should see while I am here? A beautiful city like this must have several interesting sites.
I have heard something about a ‘Kimono Dance Theater’. Do they put on a good show there?

[OOC: Badge Mod Approved. ]

[Fuu's not going to comment on the gyms, as she's no fan of them. But--!]

The Kimono girls are very talented, there is no doubt about that. There's also the burnt tower, which I found very interesting... And there was a man who told me the legend of it who claimed to be over one hundred and fifty years old... Though, if you're looking to relax, there's an onsen at the inn that was a very nice visit, I remember.

The burnt tower? I hadn’t heard of that place yet. If it was burnt though, is there anything much left of it to see?

Relaxing at the inn might be something I could do later. I will have to tell Geo about the onsen. I am sure he would like a little rest after our journey here. It did take a little longer than I was expecting.

There's not much, really, but it's a place of legends.

I find travel in Johto always takes longer than I expect it to. My own journey from Olivine to Ecruteak was extended nearly a week due to my travelmate losing his soul to a Shedinja.

It might be worth a look, just to say I had seen it. I believe we are only staying here a few days and then flying back to Goldenrod for that train. Of course we could always fly back here to look around any time we wanted but I thought it might be nice to see a few things while we were here.

Those Shedinja… A friend of mine was also unlucky enough to run across them. It was very fortunate that the easiest way to get rid of the problem was just to catch the pokemon, even if that did take a while.

Please be careful. With all the snow, travel conditions are likely going to be harsh.

Yes, but it was certainly nerve-wracking. We were days from civilization in either direction. I was afraid Aragaki-san would perish.

Yes, thank you. I will try to be careful. Certainly warmer clothing would be necessary on the journey back. It wasn’t nearly as chilly on the way here.

Fortunately that didn’t happen. Aragaki-san fully recovered once all of the Shedinja were captured?

The higher altitude will make it worse, as well. Please be careful, Eagle-san.

Ah... Yes, he did. [He was fine then. And then he died. It's all very upsetting and complicated.]

[identity profile] unyieldingwill.livejournal.com 2011-11-23 06:42 am (UTC)(link)
That is something to consider. Since Pokemon don’t come with cockpits… [Like the mecha he is more used to flying. ] … there wouldn’t be any way to keep from getting cold in the lighter air.
[Eagle is being a little flippant here before coming up with a more sensible solution. ]
We will just have to bundle up very warmly.

I‘m glad. I hadn’t heard that anyone was physically harmed by the incident.
[THIS would be news to him. He was under the impression dying here was not possible, so many people had told him that. ]

I'm note entirely sure of that, but I wish you the best of luck.

Not for long, I don't think, and nothing more than being a little hungry, at least in our experience. [No he disappeared, here. He was already dead at home.]
