[So asked as an adorable Prince outfit is presented for approval. By the way Eagle laughs and sets the costume back onto the shelf clearly that kind of outfit was not appreciated by whoever he was showing it to. ]

I’m not really sure what you are looking in the way of a costume. Some thing scary or something more debonair?

Is there a kind of costume that would earn you more candy when you go… what did you call it… ‘Trick or Treating’?

What? You think I should get an outfit too? I really wouldn't know what to dress as. Maybe some one can suggest something?

The more frightful costumes seem to be near the back.

So.. why exactly do people dress up for this holiday anyway?

Tradition? Maybe it is like a large fancy dress party.

Some traditions say that Halloween is the night where the vale between worlds is the thinnest so that the dead and demonic can walk amongst the living! So people would dress up to either blend in with the dead and not be cursed, or to wear something even more terrible to scare off the ghosts! [[so very very cheerful at this as he rummages through the rack. Skeleton, another ghost... ooo, a ghoul with a half melted face!]]

[He looked to Bakura as the holiday was explained. It didn't really sound like a good thing but the boy sounded so exuberant about it. So... that had to be a good thing, right? ]

It is supposed to be the custom of Earth to dress in costumes for a holiday called ‘Halloween’ and then go door to door begging for candy or pulling a prank if they won’t give you any.
I don’t really know why they do that… but it might be fun to play along.

Maybe you have never heard of people living on other worlds, but it does happen. For example I come from a world called ‘Autozam’, I have never even seen the Earth before.

Our sun is in an entirely different dimension from your world. The only way I have heard that it is even possible to go to Earth is through the use of magic.

No, I can’t. I do know a few people who can, but there is no magic on Autozam. We have to rely on spaceships and mecha to travel between worlds.
