[The monk stood his ground sending out his last Pokemon, a Bellsprout. Really? This would be easy then. ]

Astina, that is enough. It is Carrera’s turn.

[It might be a surprise to any one who had met Astina to notice that not only had he been battling again but he had evolved into an Umbreon. Even more of a shock would have been the 5’11” Furret standing by Eagle’s side.
The Bellsprout used vine whip which Carrera scrunched down as close to the ground as she could to brace for the vine‘s impact. She took a little damage, but it was no where near enough to end the battle.]

Carrera, use Ember.

[Recovering from the whipping swiftly she hopped to her feet and Used Ember just as Eagle had asked her to. It was super effective and the enemy Bellsprout fainted from just the one hit. The monk nodded, not happy that he had lost but sort of expecting it. Sage Li handed over the prize, HM Flash and some money… to which Eagle smiled.]

Thank you Sage Li, that was a fun battle and this HM should come in very handy. I know just the cave to use it in.

I think I would actually miss the camping out if traveling was so easy but I could see some great uses for it as well. Especially in winter. I have heard winter can be quiet cold and it wouldn’t be very comfortable to camp out during a time like that.

[Brr! The cold doesn’t sound like fun at all! ]

If it wouldn’t be too much trouble to ask I would appreciate it. I’m sure that by traveling and asking around in each city I could find some clue as to where the other HMs are, but if some one already knows that would make it a good deal easier to find.

I do love the snow, but I see what you mean.

Most worlds do have four seasons. I just assumed Johto would as well. I do know that it can snow here, some times suddenly.

I understand. Then travel may become harsher in later months then. I will ask around just in case. Is it silly that I am torn. I want to see the snow, but at the same time I know it would be difficult to travel with it.

That does help a little. I am not sure who Chuck is but asking around for him should make it easier to find the HM.

I don’t think that is silly at all! It might actually be fun to have snow around for a month or two. We just might have to stay nearby a city some where instead of traveling so much.

I can't say I know anyone named Chuck, but maybe you will meet him in your travels. Or his wife?

I'm sure you will find it someday... you have a flying type Pokemon, right, Eagle?

[ Smiles. But she can't help but feel it will slow her progress to get back home. ]

[Time doesn't appear to be too much of an issue for Eagle right now but he would understand it was still troublesome for others. ]

I didn't get a chance to play in any snow. So, it should be very fun when I do have the opportunity.

My friends have swablus too. I always thought they were very beautiful. I love how soft they are too. But surprisingly very strong.

[ Nods. ] We didn't have snow in the PLANT too. Not real ones anyway...

I believe you were watching when I caught the Pidgey but at the time it didn’t have a name. So, it only seemed right to introduce you properly.

It is! You know Cecil? He seems like a very fine Pokemon breeder. He and I had a nice conversation.

We didn’t have snow on Autozam either. Since the biodomes were all climate controlled major fluctuations in temperature like that just did not happen.

I met Mister Harvey not too long ago over the gear. My friend, Lottie bought a swablu from him. It hatched recently. His name is Cordon.

And I found him to be a very interesting person. He could really keep a conversation.

[ It was strange that they always end up talking about their homes somehow. ]

I think I spoke to Ms. Lottie when her swablu egg hatched actually. I hadn’t heard the name of the Pokemon however.

[They do seem to. Some one mentions space and or things they haven’t seen before and off they go! ]

I have heard about it. It snows on some of the other planets in the system.
But, you must have seen snow on Earth?

You have? I am glad. She is a very sweet girl. Cordon, I believe is French for, 'ribbon.' I thought it was cute. Lottie said the swablus have what look like a ribbon on their head.

I have. Only a handful of times when I was younger, but I began seeing it a lot more once I began living on earth.

‘Ribbon’ is a cute name for a Pokemon. [Even if French is something he has never heard of. Obviously it is a language of some kind. ]

When it snows here you will have to go skating again. Or just head to the ice cave. [A laugh as he remembers the misadventures of a friend who tried to travel through there. ] I understand it can be very slippery there and skating is a necessity.

Hnmm... I probably will. I do enjoy skating and it will be a fun activity to do with friends. Where can I find the ice cave?

The Ice Path is to the north of Blackthorn City. It will be a while before I am able to make it that far. But if you or a friend have a Pokemon that already knows fly then the distance shouldn’t be too troublesome for you.

Maybe someday. Right now, I really believe I should reach Violet City first.
