[The black clad Commander hits the ground with a roll leaving the roof of the Violet City Gym in dramatic fashion after a little reconnaissance mission. He smiles at the Mareep and Eevee waiting for him under a nearby tree before joining them to relay the information he had recovered. Eagle was totally unaware that his third Pokemon, a Vulpix, had been playing with his PokeGear and recording this little evening raid. ]

This city’s gym leader is Falkner his Pokemon are all flying types so they should be weak to you Sol because you have that new electric attack.

[The Astina the Eevee listens closely and Sol the Mareep nods upon learning his role in the upcoming battle. ]

However, they are all level 30 or higher. We should do a bit more training before trying to…

[The video suddenly shifts and tumbles to the ground as Carrera the Vulpix looses her footing on the dewy ground. As she stumbles the piece of technology is dropped and her role as a videographer is betrayed. ]

I know this isn’t exactly a military mission but there are times when recording video is… inconvenient...

The gym leader is not particularly difficult if you have enough training backing up your team.

It does help that he only seems to use one type of Pokemon. That isn’t really the best strategy.

I agree, but as far as I know each gym has a theme.

I haven't challenged any gyms yet but I have watched the transmissions in the network closely to gather some intel. Many trainers are fond of broadcasting their fights.

It can be difficult over a transmission like this. I’m sorry if you were offended.

I am Eagle Vision from Autozam. I have also noticed that a lot of people transmit their battles but I haven’t seen anyone fight this trainer yet. That is why I had to go and see his fighting skill for myself.

Of course, it would be a foolish step to walk into a fight without knowing your rival.[And hopping on roofs and spying the enemy is the most logical thing ever.]

How long have you been in this place? Have you been able to witness a lot of trainer battles?

I have only been here for about a month, but I have kept a close eye on the gym during my free time.

I still have a long way to go before I can challenge it.

[Eagle agrees. ]

Since the gym leader has such powerful Pokemon it will be a little while before I can challenge him too. But, it looks like there are several things I can do while in Violet City.

Have you been to the tower?

Yes, Violet seems comfortable enough to get everything into place before continuing the trip.

I went to the tower a few times. It's mostly filled with Gastly and Rattata, but I haven't gone too deep yet.

Gastly and Rattata? Thank you, that is very helpful! I heard there were several trainers in there as well. I am more interested in them than in the Pokemon.

Sometimes foreigners like us are in the tower... But the monks mostly train Bellsprout.

Of course they do. What other kind of Pokemon would you carry in a tower supposedly built around a giant Bellsprout.
