[The black clad Commander hits the ground with a roll leaving the roof of the Violet City Gym in dramatic fashion after a little reconnaissance mission. He smiles at the Mareep and Eevee waiting for him under a nearby tree before joining them to relay the information he had recovered. Eagle was totally unaware that his third Pokemon, a Vulpix, had been playing with his PokeGear and recording this little evening raid. ]

This city’s gym leader is Falkner his Pokemon are all flying types so they should be weak to you Sol because you have that new electric attack.

[The Astina the Eevee listens closely and Sol the Mareep nods upon learning his role in the upcoming battle. ]

However, they are all level 30 or higher. We should do a bit more training before trying to…

[The video suddenly shifts and tumbles to the ground as Carrera the Vulpix looses her footing on the dewy ground. As she stumbles the piece of technology is dropped and her role as a videographer is betrayed. ]

Well, mecha are pretty interesting! And they don't exist back home...

I believe you said earlier that the Earth didn’t have mecha, but you must have heard of them before since you weren’t surprised by the term.

Aaa-- they're in a lot of TV shows and comics!

So worse than not existing they are actually fiction in your world!

How would they cause trouble on Earth? Besides your people’s general lack of experience with them.

One wrong footstep and half a block of Tokyo gets leveled. And if there was ever a battle...! It's pretty standard in TV shows that whenever a mecha is around, the city around it isn't for very long!

[That could be a problem. ]

Ideally you wouldn’t be fighting in the City, but I can see how that would be a concern if you didn’t have methods to prevent an attack like that from happening.

There aren't really too many places besides the country that aren't city or city like in Japan. [[it seems sort of a duh there, but he's lived in a very densely populated area his entire life with only small class trips to the countryside so the contrast was pretty stark in his mind]]

And it's always Tokyo that gets attacked in movies and TV!

Maybe Tokyo needs a barrier… That is how we protect our buildings on Autozam.

In those shows, it would help a lot! [[said with a big smile]] It does make a lot of sense to have something like that to prevent accidents!

Are you thinking about challenging the gyms too or have you decided to do something else?

I don't think any of mine are ready for that sort of thing yet. Amane-chan's the strongest, but when it's a team battle, you can't just have one tank and the rest be level ones! It's not very balanced that way and I don't think there's a good system for support classes here.

Until then maybe there is something else you could explore?

[Smiles and tilts his head. ]

I have heard there is a tower in town that I might have to investigate while I am here.

[[like a magic word spoken, he perks up]] A tower? You mean the one off to the side, not too far from the gym?

‘Sprout Tower’. There are supposed to be trainers to fight on the way up and items to find…

[Very interested in those other trainers… but this HM is also a great attraction! ]
