[Carrera comes closer, sniffing the newest team member... Before yipping loudly and deciding this creature was going to be a great new friend! The Mareep seems to agree as he reaches out a paw to pat the little Vulpix on the head but accidentally ends up giving her a bit of a static charged shock from his overly electrically charged fluff. The poor guy instantly looks ashamed and incredibly apologetic. But, he really needn’t have worried. He is instantly forgiven.
In the background the second egg begins to wiggle and then shine with a bright light, leaving an Eevee where the egg used to be. He blinks as his eyes adjust to the sunlight. But, instead of joining the others he hangs back, just casually watching.
Eagle can‘t be seen on the video but he must be there because soon after the second egg hatches the PokéGear is used to scan the new arrivals to find out more about them.]

Mareep, the wool Pokémon. Mareep stores static electricity in their wooly coat. They avoid battle and have a mild dispositions.

Eevee, the Evolution Pokémon. Eevee is a unique Pokémon that can adept to its environment by changing its form and abilities when evolving.

So you were what was inside those eggs. Now I suppose I will have to think up names for you both.
[A voice that sounds as happy as ever as Eagle lays the PokéGear to one side in the mistaken belief that, after recording the hatching that so many people had been curious about, he had turned the device off. ]

I wonder if it is very common for Pokémon to so remind their trainer of people they know…

[He tilts his head to the side.] What do you mean by that, Eagle-kun?

[After he also stops laughing at the mental image of this Kurogane getting so angry and brandishing swords at Fai, Eagle answers the question. ]

You must be really good friends if you can make jokes about each other.

[Fai gives a pout at Eagle's laughter. He didn't even do anything this time!] Ehhhh? What's so funny?

[Eagle doesn’t want to pry too much, if Fai really doesn’t want to talk about it. That’s fine. ^,^]

[Ah, but see, if you don't pry, Fai's never going to tell you anything. Though, if you do pry, he might just lie. So, I guess, it's up to you, xD]

[Eagle’s much the same way really. Though he often will just smile instead of telling a lie, when there is something he doesn’t want to talk about.
But, it seems rude to pry into private matters after you only just became friends with the person in question.
Besides, Fai isn’t doing anything for the moment dangerous enough to require prying.]

[Not yet, at least. Oh, don't worry. He won't hurt anyone else. But that doesn't mean he won't be a danger to himself.]

With a Pokémon like that… you might be able to teach her how to fly.
That would make traveling a lot easier. But, I think you have to win a few gym badges before the Pokémon will listen to you.

Ah, that would make sense! [He gives a laugh.] Kuro-puppy pretty much does what he wants to!

[Which, really, wasn't too far off from what the real Kurogane does.]

I wonder if a badge would make Kuro-puppy… [Uses Fai’s term. ] … would also listen better after a gym badge or if that is just his personality.

Who knows? [He laughs.] His namesake is pretty bad at listening as well!

The weakest Gym Leader is supposed to be in Violet City. But, there are also supposed to be gyms in…
[Looks at the PokéGear for a moment. ] …Azalea Town, Goldenrod City, Ecruteak City, Olivine City, Cianwood City, Mahogany Town, and Blackthorn City.

Oh, yes! Kuro-puppy is so much like Kurogane-san, that I simply could not help myself! [He gives a laugh.]

Ah! Is that so? [He tilts his head to the side.] Well then, I suppose I should be making my way to Violet City!

I am heading to Violet City with a small party right now.

Oh, yes! [He smiles, tilting his head to the side.] My friends haven't arrived in this world yet! The least I can do is figure out how to leave for when they all get here.

[He is never going to give up the illusion that he's here, all buy himself. Nope.]

Oh! I'm actually headed to some ruins! [He gives a laugh.] A man named Professor Layton has gathered some people to inspect them!
