Suddenly in a Pokémon World

[Introduction - Video]

[ At first the video only shows a paw as it stumbles to walk over the PokéGear and accidentally steps on the video button. Then a nose as the object is thoroughly sniffed. But a muffled nearby cry is enough to draw the small Vulpix’s attention away from its investigations and over to the young man asleep on the twin sized bed. He tosses, mussing his fair colored hair and clutches at the blankets as he winces in pain. Though there is no visible source of this discomfort it seems quite real to him.
As the Vulpix tilts its head, sadly calling out in sympathy, the young man startles and suddenly sits bolt upright. He appears dazed and takes a moment looking around the small room before bringing a hand up to gently hold his head. ]

This isn’t Cephiro… A nightmare…?
No, that can’t be right.

[ The man slowly looks at his hands, flexing the fingers as if he is surprised that he can do so. ]

That battle… were the Magic Knights able to win?
I don’t remember anything after that light. What happened? Does this mean… I’m not dead after all?

That was what the lady said as well, but I have no intention of making a Pokémon fight for me. [Smiles at the vulpix. ]
Since I can fight for myself, you can stay here and wait for someone else.

[To which the vulpix responds with a growl.
He doesn’t want my help but he needs it!

It’s Stubborn vs. Stubborn… and she isn’t about to give in! So when Eagle starts walking around to look at the rest of this small town, she follows again.]

There are only the four buildings… [A chuckle. ] Then this will be a short tour!

You don't have to make her fight to have her for a companion. [[gives her an amused and almost fond smile]]

And it'll be rather short! [[says with a laugh, Amane joining in with a cackle as she swoops around the air once before going to try and land on Eagle's head. Just something with her and pale to white hair...]]

No… I suppose not. It just seems a shame to have her follow me around when she could just stay here instead.

[That smile! It makes a certain Vulpix’s tail wag happily! Finally someone who seems to understand her feelings on this matter! ]

How many people live here? Just the four?

[But, a larder building is noticed. ]

[Oh…

I have a Pokémon on my head…? ]

[[OoC: and I'm just gonna fudge so much of the tour since I keep staring at the FAQ and the map going "wait... but... aaah how do I even]]

She seems happy enough to come with. Everyone needs a companion, after all. [[because being alone is depressing. Something he knows all too well]]

And I'm not sure ho-- aa! [[and he just notices where Amane has decided to rest.]] Amane-chan!

[[she just cackles at him, near smirking.]]

[OOC: I was wondering how you were going to manage such a short tour. Here these houses have no locks, just walk right in, speak to people, pet their Pokémon and steal any items they have stupidly left out on the floor. ^,^]

[Smiles and tilts his head ever so slightly to one side.]

She… has a thing for heads?

[OoC: Check all the drawers, break any barrels... :DD He'll give a run down of what the NPCs say in each house. ;)]

I think so. [[scratches at his cheek awkwardly]] She likes to ride ontop of mine, and she was pestering someone else too. It might be the hair... [[since he and Storm both had white hair and Eagle's was also pretty close if not actually white.]]

[I think it is white. It’s just in shadow it can look a little grey. ^_^ ]

She likes light colored hair?
[Tries to look up at the ghost sitting on his head for confirmation. ]

Then this is going to be a very interesting trip.

Aa-- sorry about that. [[and he's attempting to coax her down. With no luck.]]

Aaaa~aah! You're just as stubborn as Amane! [[half sighs to himself. It really was the perfect name...]]

[Kneels down to a more appropriate Pokémon grabbing height. ]

You named her after someone you really know?

[Thinks over the names he knows before deciding… ]

None of those really fit.

[But the Vulpix is thrilled! At least he is beginning to think of a name for her. ]

[[and grab he does, hugging Amane close to keep her from bothering anyone. She flails around a bit in protest before settling down. He looks down at her with a small smile as he nods]]

Un. After my sister.

[[his smile grows a little distant and soft and almost a little sad, but only for a moment before giving a soft laugh]]

They have very similar personalities, it seems!

[Still kneeling there, Eagle reaches out to grab Bakura’s shoulder in a gesture meant to be comforting. Obviously there were quite a few things that were upsetting to the boy here. ]

I’m sure she would think it was nice of you to name a cute Pokémon after her.

[[only anything to do with family, really. That was the problem when half of your family was dead and the remaining member was always working. The gesture is very appreciated and he gives a small smile at it as he nods]]

Yeah. Though she'd probably say I have no imagination in names to reuse her's like that. [[says with a soft laugh]]

[Not knowing Bakura’s sister it was difficult to know if she would really say something like that or not, but it was a funny statement and the younger boy’s laugh could be easily mirrored. ]

Thank you for taking the time to show me around the town.

[Said very politely as Eagle stands to his full height again. ]

I can see why you were in such a hurry to leave. There really isn’t much here.

[It makes Eagle anxious to be off himself. Maybe a larger City would contain more information about this world. ]

[[nods]] It's nice enough, but just knowing there's so much more out there to figure out and explore...!

[[and maybe to start the main quest, whatever it may be!]]

[OOC: 5’9”… Which really was more impressive when I thought Bakura was shorter than 5’7”… OMY! I thought Bakura he was a smaller chibi character! ^^”

The more the merrier! ^_^ I have aim so that isn‘t a problem if a plot business post needs to happen.]

You must like exploring a great deal. You seem so excited about it.

[OoC: Nope! Yuugi's the only "tiny" one at 5 foot :D It's because Bakura has such a baby face :) And cool, my IM is Frandenut, feel free to add!]

[[gives a small laugh, looking as if he would be rubbing the back of his neck if not for the ghost pokemon in his arms]] I've never really gotten a chance to do much of it. [[admits with a smile]] And that's really the goal in any game, exploring the world, learning about it, finding out what you have to do and doing it.

[[actually, it was a lot like what he figured going on digs was like, especially from the stories passed around whenever there was an event at the museum!]]

You keep talking about this place as if it were a game.
I’m not sure it really is one…

[He still needed to know more about this world really… ]

Aaa-- it's just easier to think of it that way. [[admits with a bit of apologetic embarrassment]] And I played a lot of games with this sort of set up back home. [[his smile relaxes a bit]] So it's easy to fall back into that kind of thinking.

I see.
[The smiles returns, much brighter and more relaxed than ever. If that makes this easier to deal with for Bakura, then perhaps there is nothing wrong with thinking about this place as if it were a game.]

Do you think there is a prize at the end of this game?
[And now you are just getting teased.]

There might be! Though I'm not sure what it would be. We'd have to find out what the main quest is first to guess at that!

[[a big grin there. If he realizes he's being teased, he doesn't seem to mind.]]
