Catching a Pidgey

[The Pidgey falls from the air as it is soundly buffeted by the electric attack. It isn’t a hard fall since the creature had only just attempted its escape and therefore hadn’t been able to fly very high before the attack struck.
It comes to rest in the tall grass but only for a moment as a Pokeball soon bounces off the Pokemon’s back and draws the unconscious creature inside.

Astina, an Eevee, is the first to run over and bring the ball back to Eagle. ]


You are really excited about this one, aren’t you? I remember how much you like birds.

[Picking up the Pokeball Eagle then looks at Sol, the Mareep whose electrical attack allowed for the Pidgey’s capture.]

Good work, Sol.
Now we will have to think up a name for this one. Do you have any ideas?

Oh, well these are some of my Pokemon.

[Eagle politely introduces each of the little creatures in turn. ]

The Eevee is named Astina, Carrera is the Vulpix, Sol is the Mareep… Zaz is a Sentret and still in his Pokeball.

And I haven’t named this one yet.

I haven't named my friend, Mister Abra either. But I do have something planned.

I believe they are, especially Astina there. He really enjoys bird Pokemon.

Is Mister Abra the only Pokemon you have at the moment, Lacus?

Actually ‘Mister Abra’ is a pretty cute name in itself.

That is a nice thought too. I haven’t named a Pokemon after Father yet… but then I haven’t run into one quite like him either.

Does Mister Abra remind you a lot of your Father?

A little bit. He has a similar unwavering calm that reminds me of my father...

His name was Siegel.

[There was something about the lady’s way of speaking… that seemed to suggest that. ]

If your Pokemon likes calm he should get along well with Astina there. He also is pretty calm about things.

Hopefully so. I intend to challenge those gym leaders as soon as I feel we are ready to take them on.

You must have just arrived then? It can be a little shocking to suddenly wake up in Johto and discover that is what you are supposed to be doing.

You could always chose to do something else until you find a way to return to your world.

It doesn’t seem like a good idea to only focus on one type of Pokemon, not when they have such glaring weaknesses that could be exploited.

So far anyway, defeating the gyms is the only way I have heard of anyone being able to return to where they came from.

I can’t help but wonder if they have a rocket of some kind though.

A piece of technology that can fly high enough to enter space and fly around in the stars. If this is another world it might be possible to travel back to our planets like this.
