Catching a Pidgey

[Video / Or Route 32 Action]

[The Pidgey falls from the air as it is soundly buffeted by the electric attack. It isn’t a hard fall since the creature had only just attempted its escape and therefore hadn’t been able to fly very high before the attack struck.
It comes to rest in the tall grass but only for a moment as a Pokeball soon bounces off the Pokemon’s back and draws the unconscious creature inside.

Astina, an Eevee, is the first to run over and bring the ball back to Eagle. ]

You are really excited about this one, aren’t you? I remember how much you like birds.

[Picking up the Pokeball Eagle then looks at Sol, the Mareep whose electrical attack allowed for the Pidgey’s capture.]

Good work, Sol.
Now we will have to think up a name for this one. Do you have any ideas?

[Ding, ding, ding, got it in one. ]

It doesn’t seem like a good idea to only focus on one type of Pokemon, not when they have such glaring weaknesses that could be exploited.

[Dang right she did]

I concur with your statement. Not all of the other "trainers" have realized that.

[She’s so clever. :P ]

Not all of them are interested in training their Pokemon for competition.

No, they are not.. but given the limited information we've been given it does not seem like there is any alternative.

So far anyway, defeating the gyms is the only way I have heard of anyone being able to return to where they came from.

I can’t help but wonder if they have a rocket of some kind though.

It wouldn't be prudent to be so hasty. [She agreed] There might be alternative methods.

A rocket?

I’m sorry, maybe you don’t know what a rocket is?

[How to describe it… ]

A piece of technology that can fly high enough to enter space and fly around in the stars. If this is another world it might be possible to travel back to our planets like this.

[Recalling Eagle's light sword...]

It is safe to assume that I am unfamiliar with many of the devices of your era.

[...]

I-- will have to take your word on such a contraptions existence. It is a bit fantastical.. but you have shown that you are an upstanding, forthright individual. [Had been impressed by the dueling skillz.. and the way Eagle carries himself in their conversations. He could still fix his hair though >.>]

That is a high compliment! [From her. ] Thank you.

I will let you know if I discover anything of that nature here. Johto seems a little… too primitive… for that kind of technology though.

[Dang right it is.] I must give credit where it is due. [It's as simple at that]

Please do. Any information we can obtain about this place and it's innerworkings could be critical to our escape.
