[Video - Friday Evening]

[The black clad Commander hits the ground with a roll leaving the roof of the Violet City Gym in dramatic fashion after a little reconnaissance mission. He smiles at the Mareep and Eevee waiting for him under a nearby tree before joining them to relay the information he had recovered. Eagle was totally unaware that his third Pokemon, a Vulpix, had been playing with his PokeGear and recording this little evening raid. ]

This city’s gym leader is Falkner his Pokemon are all flying types so they should be weak to you Sol because you have that new electric attack.

[The Astina the Eevee listens closely and Sol the Mareep nods upon learning his role in the upcoming battle. ]

However, they are all level 30 or higher. We should do a bit more training before trying to…

[The video suddenly shifts and tumbles to the ground as Carrera the Vulpix looses her footing on the dewy ground. As she stumbles the piece of technology is dropped and her role as a videographer is betrayed. ]

Carrera!

…Vul…pix?

Are you hurt? [Once he sees that she isn’t. ]
I know this isn’t exactly a military mission but there are times when recording video is… inconvenient...

[With that the PokeDex is retrieved and the video ends. ]

There might have been but this way I was able to see him battle without his knowing I was there… or at least that would have been the case if Carrera hadn’t decided to record this.

Why would it matter if he didn't know?

It is always better to catch an enemy off guard. That way you know their strengths and weaknesses but they don’t know yours.

But if you're just watching he can't tell what Pokemon you have.

[[says the boy with a hoppip on his head]]

Unless… you have some Pokemon that prefer to stay outside of their Pokeballs.

It was difficult enough to get them to wait under this tree. Especially that one…

[[Gives "that one" a bit of a fond smile]] I can watch them next time, if that would help.

I wonder if that would work? They seem to be worried about me.

[The normally quiet Eevee nods. ]

I don't blame them that much, with those sorts of acrobatics.

Don’t worry. Something like that isn’t a problem at all!

[This smile means you don’t have to worry about me! That wasn‘t reckless at all!]

[[That smile means you're just covering. You can't fool someone who does the same thing! Unless he fools himself with it as well. Whoops.]]

Something you have a lot of practice with?

That building is a little taller than my mecha but yes, as long as you know how to land properly jumping down from heights like that isn’t anything to worry about.

[[there's that little sparkle at the reminder of world with mecha because he is a fanboy at heart]] Aaah, that is true, unless you can have it kneel down, you'd have to be used to getting down from that sort of height!

Actually I do usually have the FTO kneel down when I exit the cockpit… But, it is still a pretty good distance to the ground even at that.

FTO? That the name of it?

I guess I never mentioned its name before? But, that is right, the FTO is the mecha that I pilot.

[[there's a bit of a gleeful smile of that just being so damned cool]]

Does it stand for something?

It doesn’t stand for anything at all. That is just what I decided to call it!

[OOC: Not entirely true… It is named after a type of car but Eagle here doesn’t know that. ]

FTO does almost sound like it should be an abbreviation for something, doesn’t it?

Un, it does! Maybe you should make it stand for something! Like... For Triumphant Operations or something like that!

[He laughs!]

I wonder what Zazu would think of that! And we would have to rename the GTO as well, or Geo might feel left out.

Hrrrm... Go Take Over? No, that doesn't sound very good... That one's a bit harder... but I'm sure we can think of something. [[smiles]]

Zazu another friend of yours?

Zazu is the Chef Mechanic on the NSX. You remind me a little of him actually, since you both get so enthusiastic about mecha.

But, he unlike you he has a great fondness for girls.

Well, mecha are pretty interesting! And they don't exist back home...
