Suddenly in a Pokémon World

[Introduction - Video]

[ At first the video only shows a paw as it stumbles to walk over the PokéGear and accidentally steps on the video button. Then a nose as the object is thoroughly sniffed. But a muffled nearby cry is enough to draw the small Vulpix’s attention away from its investigations and over to the young man asleep on the twin sized bed. He tosses, mussing his fair colored hair and clutches at the blankets as he winces in pain. Though there is no visible source of this discomfort it seems quite real to him.
As the Vulpix tilts its head, sadly calling out in sympathy, the young man startles and suddenly sits bolt upright. He appears dazed and takes a moment looking around the small room before bringing a hand up to gently hold his head. ]

This isn’t Cephiro… A nightmare…?
No, that can’t be right.

[ The man slowly looks at his hands, flexing the fingers as if he is surprised that he can do so. ]

That battle… were the Magic Knights able to win?
I don’t remember anything after that light. What happened? Does this mean… I’m not dead after all?

[Eagle startles and looks around for the source of that voice he just heard. The little Vulpix decides to assist in the search. It bumps the PokéGear with it’s nose so that the device is sent tumbling down onto the bed where Eagle can easily find it. ]


I wasn’t aware there were… communication devices like this around.

[Smiles to cover up the fact he was talking to himself about a subject so very personal to him. ]

What is this place?

Another world of sorts. [[smiles pleasantly, more than willing to let the possible awkward topic pass]] I've only been here a few days, so I don't really know too much more than that,

The Magic Knights also came from another world, could this be Earth?

[It was possible… Eagle had no idea what Earth really looked like. ]

I am Commander Eagle Vision from Autozam.
Do you remember how you arrived here…?
[There is a pause in this line indicating that Eagle would like to know this boy’s name. ]

I'm Bakura Ryou from Domino, Japan. [[a pause]] on Earth. [[adds just in case.]]

I don't think it's Earth. Or if it is, it's a part of it I've never heard of before. And I work up in a house like that [[nods at the screen]] as well.

Hikaru said she came from a place called Tokyo, that is in Japan isn’t it?

[The PokéGear is for a moment abandoned as Eagle takes a minute to search through the drawers of a nearby dresser. ]

Did you have any weapons with you before you arrived? Mine seem to have disappeared.
[He does sound amused by that but it is a bit worrying. ]

Un! Domino's actually a district in Tokyo! [[though most people he's talked to don't seem to have heard of it, which is a bit odd.]]

And I didn't have anything like that before. [[a pause]] Though my pendent went missing when I arrived. I was pretty sure I was still wearing it before... [[sounds very lightly distressed about that. The nagging feeling that he needed to find the Ring was fairly ignorable, but it did bother him when he stopped to think about it.]]

Then you came from the same City that she did. I don’t suppose you would know her. Hikaru Shidou?

[Searching through the closet. Hmm… there does seem to be a bag in here. ]

I was wondering if someone decided to take them. It wouldn’t be the first time I awoke to find out I was a guest of someone who would prefer me not to be armed.

[Guest being of course a cute way of saying prisoner.]

I don't think we're really anyone's guest. Or if we are, no one's introduced themselves as the host. And since battles are done with Pokemon here, there shouldn't be any need for them. The weapons, I mean. [[he hopes. He hadn't actually even that part much thought.]]

[He chuckles a little trying to cover up his uncertainty. ]

[Introductions were a polite necessity! Of course Eagle doesn’t bother to introduce himself until he is out of that strange bed. Speaking to a lady while still in bed… that just didn’t seem polite at all! Out and more presentable, Eagle can continue the conversation.]

[A pause as he looks around the room again. ]

Can you tell me what this place is? Or maybe what that…

[The camera pans to focus in on a little vulpix still sitting on the shelf. ]

…is. It seems friendly enough but… I have never seen anything like it before.

[She strikes a pose that compliments her features and wasn't disturbed in the slightest that Eagle had been in bed at the time.]

Autozam? [She held a finger aside her lips and feigned ignorance of the planet. So that's where you're from..]

This land is called Johto and that there is a Pokemon.

[Leans in a bit closer to the screen having never seen a Vulpix before.]

A Pokémon? Is that some kind of monster?

[And Eagle will just be testing the door to see if it is locked or not. ]

I haven’t heard of Johto before… and if you have never heard of Autozam…
[Misunderstanding the questioning tone she had used when she mentioned his country’s name. ]
…is this another world of some kind?


[The doorknob turns easily. ]

Not locked. [Another almost musical chuckle. ]

[Look at Caldina pretend to be an expert. They do sorta remind her of those monsters that Ascot summons... only.... a LOT smaller.. and .. a LOT less threatening]

The way it was explained to me, is that no one really knows where this place is but rest assured this sure isn't that Cephiro or Autozam place that you mentioned.

They were some interesting young ladies I met on Cephiro.

[Vague enough for you? He’s not about to reveal his secrets to just anyone.
He does smile fondly upon remembering them though. I‘m sure they were able to defeat that mecha… But… ]

Caldina, is there a way to return to where we came from?

[There is a touch of doubt in that statement, for the observant to notice.
That light and then… this?
Maybe they weren’t alright? Maybe they still needed some help? Maybe the dead can‘t return?

Those creatures are cute… [A smile that dims ever so slightly at the next part. ] But, I have been told they are used to fight in this world.

I wonder why. Can’t the people here fight on their own?
